About this item

Bocconcino translates to 'tidbit' or 'morsel' in Italian. Which suits, as each little wheel is the perfect size for an individual serving. Bocconcino is made from goat milk, with a touch of cream to add sweetness and balance acidity. The cheese is soft, while still holding it's shape, making it perfect for on the go snacking and picnics. Or eat it as they do in Northern Italy, by wrapping it in prosciutto, giving it a quick griddle in a hot pan, and serve with a side salad and bread.

Bocconcino  is made by Caseificio Dell’ Alta Langa, which has been family owned for almost 150 years. Alta Langa specializes in indigenous microbes, ripening their cheeses with cultures isolated at their creamery rather than ones purchased from a lab. The resulting cheese is nuanced, with aromatics that cannot be replicated.
