Washbourne

About this item
This scrumptious little fellow is from Devon in the United Kingdom. Named after the nearby hamlet of Washbourne, where sheep were once bathed in the river Wash. Washbourne is a subtle, semi-firm sheep's milk cheese with an approachable nutty flavor. The buttery salty flavor and pliable texture is reminiscent of mashed potato! True to its name, the curds are washed before molding into wheels. This process preserves the milk's natural sweetness.
Sharpham Dairy is a certified B Corp: meaning they focus on environmental sustainability, living wages for their workers, welfare for their animals, and meals for their community.
