L'Amuse Brabander Goat Gouda
About this item
L’Amuse Brabander is only aged 6-9 months, which is quite young by gouda standards. The gouda gets it’s name from the Brabant region of Southern Holland. The light acidity of the Saanen goat’s milk balances the butterscotch profile of a typical Dutch gouda, creating notes of cajeta and strawberry yogurt.
Fromagerie L’Amuse was started in 1989 by renowned affineur Betty Koster and her husband Martin. Betty Koster walks a fine line, aging her cheeses at slightly higher temperatures than normal to yield a tender, toothsome bite.
