This delectable little cupcake is one of our best sellers, and it's easy to see why. La Tur is a mixed milk cheese that highlights the best characteristics of each milk: the light tartness of goat’s milk, the decadent creaminess of sheep’s milk, and the sweetness of cow’s milk. The curds are hand ladled into their molds yielding a velvety soft, fluffy interior. The wrinkly outer rind is the result of Geotrichum candidum, which ripens the cheese slowly from velvet to cream, perfect for dipping crusty bread.

La Tur is made by Caseificio Dell’ Alta Langa, which has been family owned for almost 150 years. Alta Langa specializes in indigenous microbes, ripening their cheeses with cultures isolated at their creamery rather than ones purchased from a lab. The resulting cheese is nuanced, with aromatics that cannot be replicated.  

La Tur is delicate and best paired simply to allow its beauty to shine. Feature it on a cheeseboard with fresh summer produce and shaved chocolate for a truly decadent experience.
