More mongers among us?!? That’s right y’all! Join us for a collab of the ages, featuring the St. James cheesemongers and the fishmongers of Porgy’s Seafood Market. Porgy’s Seafood Market is a retail space and restaurant that celebrates sustainable fishing and the diversity of gulf seafood.

One of the best reflections of gulf terroir is through oysters. We’ll be exploring multiple oyster varietals and hearing about their farms and practices. The night will feature:

An Educational Tasting

This portion will be monger guided, as you snack through…

A flight of four different off-bottom oysters with a flight of artisan cheese and accompaniments

The Composed Pairing

This portion takes the separate components and puts them to work! Featuring…

Two different composed cheese and oyster bites, each paired with a glass of wine.

The Nightcap

Closing out the night with…

A final oyster and wine pairing and a lovely little dessert cheese.

As always, please note in the comments section of your order if you have any dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate. Please note, this event is taking place at our DOWNTOWN location (641 Tchoupitoulas), not the usual uptown classroom.

Tickets Required:

You must have a pre-paid ticket to attend cheese class.  We do not accept last minute additions and walk-ins, as we plan seating and food and beverage amounts according to our reservation numbers.

Cancellation:

We have a 2- hour cancellation policy for reservations to receive a refund. We will not issue refunds or credits for ticket purchases for no shows to the classes. Please email molly@stjamescheese.com with any questions.
