“Le Cadeau de la Nature” translates to "the gift of nature." This is the crème de la crème of Comté! Of the 250,000 wheels of Comté that pass through Fort St. Antoine each year, only 300 get this title (that's only 0.12%). Wheels are sourced exclusively from smaller village dairies, high in the Jura Mountains. This harkens back to the history of Comté's origins. 

Wheels must be aged for 30 months minimum. This wheel is aged over 36 months, and has developed some satisfying tyrosine crystals. Comté “Le Cadeau de la Nature” has notes of toasted nuts and dark cocoa powder. Perfect as an after-dinner course with bourbon or brandy.
