Appenzeller is an ancestral Swiss cheese with records dating back over 700 years! The cheese is set apart from its other Alpine cousins, thanks to the addition of extra cream and a far shorter aging period. The resulting texture is smooth and tender, perfect for snacking or melting.
Appenzeller is made from 100% grass fed, raw cow's milk, which harnesses the plentiful vegetation and herbs of the Alpstein region. These local plants are also used in a secret herbal brine that is used to wash the cheese as it ages.
Appenzeller White Label is rich, mild and creamy, with notes of sweet hay. Perfect melted into quiche or Tarte D'Alsace.
