Alp Blossom hails from Hofkäserei Kraus, a dairy nestled in the Allgäu region of Germany. The rind is coated in a custom blend of dried lavender, rose, marigold, cornflower, oregano, and chives. The dried flowers and herbs pay homage to the diverse grazing pastures of the Allgäu. 

Head cheesemaker Albert Kraus sources milk from his brother’s neighboring herd of Brown Swiss cows. Brown Swiss cattle are known for the high butterfat content of their milk, which yields a cheese with a golden inner paste and a creamy toothsome bite. 

Alp Blossom is complex and nuanced: the inner paste is savory and brothy, while the rind carries aromas of mixed florals and sweet hay. The Alpine springtime is captured in each bite.
