One of Wales’ best loved soft cheeses, Perl Wen is a glorious and unique cross between a traditional Brie and a Caerffili. Caws Cenarth uses their farmhouse Caerffili recipe as a starting point for Perl Wen, which gives its soft center a fresh citrus flavor with a hint of sea salt. Organic milk is sourced from within 30 miles of the dairy and from that the Caws Cenarth cheesemakers make cheeses that show their “terroir”, how the flavor of the product is affected by the rainfall, the sunshine and the coastal climate and all of the other factors that are specific to this part of South West Wales.
