A traditional washed rind Alpine cheese made in the Appenzeller style.  Has a smooth and nutty flavor.  Made with raw cow’s milk and aged at least 6 months.  The cheese features a pale ivory paste with small, irregular holes, and a smooth and nutty flavor. A great cooking and melting cheese for fondue and baked cheese dishes. This one will make you want to yodel!
