APRIL 29th: Wetlands Sake and Far East Cheese Pairings - A virtual class
About this item
The words “wine” and “cheese” go together so well they could probably get a marriage license. In practice, however, pairing wine with cheese can muddle and overpower the cherished flavors and aromas of both. Sake, the umami-rich fermented rice drink from Japan, shares several characteristics with cheese that put it in the running for a great partnership.
Please note: Items will not be available for pick-up until Thursday, April 29th.
Wetlands Sake is brewed in the heart of New Orleans using Louisiana rice. They've developed delicious sake recipes using time-honored fermenting techniques, high-quality ingredients, and unique local resources.
For this class, we'll feature three cheeses paired with Wetland Sake's filtered and unfiltered sakes alongside accompaniments from the Far East. Sales tax is included in the price.
How the virtual class will work:
- TASTING KITS: Each order will feature three cheeses (1/4 pound cuts for one person portions, 1/2 pound cuts for two person portions), 2 sakes (one can of each for one-person portions, two cans each for two-person portions), crackers and other far east pairings.
- PICK-UP: Tasting kits will be available for pick-up after 11am on April 29th from 5004 Prytania Street.
