NOVEMBER 20TH: New World Cheeses, Old World WinesSt. James Cheese Company
About this item
Great cheeses have been produced in Europe for over a thousand years as a means to preserve milk and sustain people. Europeans then brought their cheesemaking skills with them to the New World. In the last 30 years, our American cheesemakers have learned to make cheese as good as, and often surpassing the quality of the great European classics. What a blessing to live in the age of an American artisanal cheese movement!
Tonight we will taste a selection of standout cheeses from American creameries, and pair them with wines produced in the Old World of Europe.
Join us as we explore the journey of cheesemaking from the Old World to the New!
