MARCH 8th: "Women's Work": A History of Women in Dairy

About this item
Happy International Women’s Day! For centuries, dairy was considered solely women's work and was one of a limited number of acceptable professions for women to earn their own money. We’ll be looking at the history of women in dairy, how women were shut out of the workforce after the industrialization of agriculture, and the women who led the American artisan cheese renaissance.
This class will feature a flight of five cheeses paired with five wines. All featured cheese and wine is produced by women cheesemakers and winemakers.
